If you have not, I would sincerely encourage you to read the The Book Thief, or listen to the audiobook as I did. As I was listening, there was one scene (of many) in the book that really stuck with me, including this one towards the beginning of the book. The words painted a vivid picture in my head and I just had to try recreate it.
